WHEELER &  WILSON   D9. ca. 1900-20

Serial #: 2.696.903, engraved on slide plate

Condition: Working. Non original decals.

Wheeler & Wilson was founded in 1851 by Allen B. Wilson. A large factory was built in Bridgeport, Connecticut, since  1856. Finally the firm was bought by Singer, which continued manufacturing the model D9 until 1920s.

This example works very well. Original worn decals were replaced, and the characteristic U shaped spool pin has disappeared.
