#6. ALFA, 1941- "HELP FROM THE CAUDILLO TO THE HOME WORK"

This small book , signed on October 16, 1941, (two years after the end of the Civil War, in the beginning of general Franco's dictatorship) states "Falange Española y de las JONS" (the only political party)- "Help from the Caudillo (The "Leader", Franco) to the home work". Inside, a sewing machine ALFA, serial # 82956 is sold for 500 Pesetas, to be paid in 170 week instalments of 3 Ptas. With each payment, a voucher is stuck on the book, stamped and signed. Apparently only 16 instalments were paid , but the sewing machine survived. The best is the great deal of political propaganda. So, in 2nd page , it can be read a sentence of Jose Antonio (former leader of the current only party) about the social well-being, and another one, of Franco, closer to the Fascism principles than to sewing machines: "In the chapter of Social Justice, we'll abolish completely the Class Struggle , settling the harmony between capitalists and workers"
